Am I missing something here? I'm assuming they are supposed to buff my damage by 30% when attacking with dual swords for 20 seconds, but I'm not seeing it. This mod attempts to resolve every conflict between SynergiesMOD and Torchlight II Essentials. And at least from some testing around on the target dummy, I don't notice any change in my attacks / damage after casting these skills. What do "Thousand Cuts" and "Sweeping Strike" do? For one, at rank 0 the skill description for each of them appears to be identical. The only thing I've found so far is a passive skill in each skill page that gives some bonuses per counter, but those don't unlock until much later in the game. KelinTors Merchant now sell Deposit scroll for 5000 gold (stackable), then use it to transform into 5000 gold coins (stackable),you can put it in your shared stash. It contains what I think is a fairly inventive way of doing it. Too tempting, I removed it and go synergies alone. To add to this it throws vendors with OP items and such all over the place. This is one of the reasons why I do not recommend essentials. The four Classes can be outfitted with different Skills and equipment to function in vastly. Does having more counters buff my damage in some way? Are there skills that consume them? The tooltips for all the skills seem to assume that I already know what they are and what they do. 1 You can use this mod ( NPC KelinTors Merchant +9 Quests + Mercenaries V1.38), if you like. It is not part of Synergies though, but it is part of one of the many mods that essentials bring. updated Over a dozen effective character builds are possible in Torchlight 2. But I can't seem to find out what they actually do. What are "counters"? A lot of skills apparently generate them, in 3 different types (nature, storm, combat, etc.). So I'm trying out the Ranger class from Synergies mod, but already have 2 big questions:
